Let's Get Started! Ask Yourself these Important Questions:
1. What type of dog do you need? ...indoor-outdoor Wisconsin- all terrain-Four seasons for Active Adults or Families with kids? We're talking a Jogging buddy, summer water beach camping. Or winter sledding snow days. Wouldn't a strong hardy Teddy Bear or Bigger Morkie puppy dog work?
Or do you need more of a Feather Weight with easy care, apartment, condo, travel-public friendly type puppy dog?
Or a little of both?
2. What gender? Find Interesting information on our FAQ pg. # 9
3. What Color? Some don't care about color. Some care alot. Like Me!
4. What type of coat? Bone Silk Dropdown or thicker softer super Fluff (Both are nonshed with our puppy dogs)
5. What Size? Any Doctors orders on what he recommends? The smaller size of the dog-the less they can do physically.
6. What Temperament do you need? More upbeat adventurous smart. Or velcro type 24/7 shadow dog. Or a little of both.
7. Are you a first time puppy owner? or do you have dog experiences? Because alot of puppy dogs are intelligent and
require more attention in the beginning. A first time puppy owner may be overwhelmed with this.
A Family Companion Dog Needs To Be:
2. Managable size for kids to participate in care and training. (6-10 lbs.)
3. Beautiful Walt Disney Teddy Bear Quality. Large button eye's. Short nose, lush soft coat.
4. Top Quality Clean Health.
5. Safe Stable Temperament. Attentive, Responsive, Affectionate.
6. Fun, Playful, Outgoing. Physically fit. Strong, hardy, Stamina to take the take indoor/outdoor all season weather.
7. Also, very Public and Travel Friendly.
*Side Notes: I've often observed during our "Meet n Greet" appts. with kids coming, and will be helping to choose a puppy, one needs to acknowledge "love at first sight" really happens. Even after showing other puppies a child can make a connection with just one. I've seen that happen, it's love. It's done.
The Two are Together - they'll be a super team!

"Therapy Service & Special Needs"
The Right Dog Is Determined on the nature of the problem.
Cancer, Depression, physically challenged due to accident or illness, Social Disorders, Mental Disorders, Emotional Disorders,
Neurological, PTS, Stroke....And what does the Doctor suggest?
Look for the best fit:
1. The Right Temperament
2. The Right Gender
3. The Right Weight.
4. The Right Energy Level.
5. *Care Maintenance.
The Right Gender
Normally, the Male Gender is choosen above females for Therapy Needs In Home and Nursing Homes. Due to the risk of some females not aging as gracefully as one would like. Some females change their personalities when older. Some do not. Some parties can afford to take the risk of a possible changing female with not having small children or a more private life style. But, some who have kids, grandkids often choose the males. The Males are happy campers onto
10 yrs. of age.
The Right Mature Weight
-Teacups are not safe for Seniors in general. Unless the senior is mobile, active...and children.
-5-6 lbs. Are ideal for Apartments or Parties who are Home Bound. They are easier to bathe. To get an idea of what
5 lbs. mature weight feels like, try holding a 5 lbs. bag of coffee or flour. They can reach the couch, go up and down stairs, and they take up little room. Their excersize can be done in a small space. And, they are travel and public Friendly, provided you choose one of ours. We breed Temperaments that are safe and useful. They eat very little and are known to just snack several times throughout the day. Their Stools are smaller too.
-8-10 lbs. Are ideal for greater strength. Bigger Broader built and hardy dog can lift and carry more. With strength- Will the Adult or Child have full control of the dog, especially on a leash? With Strength we found good benefits here.
Our family 12 lbs. Shorkie was saddled with a Fanny Pak. (a diy saddle bag). She carried things up and down our many stairs in the zippered pouches. She was strong, agile, board chest, boxy type build.
The Right Energy Level
> Lower to medium
> Medium
> High

Note*
Children are often unaware of their own strength and can unintentionally play a little rough. OR feed puppy forebidden foods. It is the responsibilty of the parents to supervise any interaction between pets and children and to teach the children to play gently. There are, however, times when a clumbsy child or adult may tumble near the family dog and paws could be stepped on. Or, the child may pet the dog a little too rough as she is learning how to be gentle. Or puppy can be held and dropped onto a hard floor. For these reasons, any designer family dog should be tolerant enough to allow some hard patting or tail and ear tugging.
He might also have to be patient enough to sit through a "dress-up" session or tea party and even periodically allow his nails to be trimmed and oh my - get out the bows! Dogs living with children need to have enough energy to withstand hours of play and yet not be so rambunctious that injury could occur.
And, should have that cuddle factor to bond with children.
